Ironman Lanzarote will feature a record field on Saturday

It's four days now until the gun goes off at 7am in Puerto del Carmen and a field of over 1,300 Ironman athletes sprint from the golden sands into the aquamarine waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Their quest is to swim 3.8 km, cycle 180 km then run 42.2 km in the Toughest Ironman in the World, Ironman Lanzarote.
Needless to say the buzz for the 18th Ironman Spain across the island is building. Many of the professional athletes have arrived and many of the age group competitors fly into Arrecife Airport over the next two days.
Local Pro Athlete Gregorio Caceres Morales is in blistering form, as is 2008 Ironman Lanzarote winner from Belgium, Bert Jammaer, Estonian and thirdrd in 2008 Ain Alar Juhanson, Dutchman Dave Rost and German Kathrin Paetzold. Often seen training together are the newlyweds "Team Bayliss", better known as Stephen and Bella Bayliss, Bella won the woman's event in 2008. Also seen in the final week of preparation was last years third place finisher Tara Norton and her pro team mechanic, photographer and promoter Denis. Tara seems fully recovered from her unfortunate cycling accident of October, 2008 when competing at the World Championships in Kona (Hawaii).

J'essayerais de le faire sur le forum, ce sera plus interactif.
Mais cette année on sera encore plus sur le parcours donc peut être un poil moins sur le live.
